Kobe Maritime Museum
Kobe Maritime Museum is located in the Meriken Park, Port Kobe, where we can learn about the history of Japanese shipping, and Kobe Harbor, which has been developed as a port town for a long time. Arima Onsen (Hot-Spring Resort)
Arima Onsen is the oldest in history and very popular in Japan, whose name is printed on the oldest history book “Nihon Shoki” edited in eight century. Himeji Castle is the only Japanese castle which is registered as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle is also known as Hakuro-jō (White Egret Castle) or Shirasagi-jō (White Heron Castle). Some buildings such as “Tenshukaku” still remain and are also designated National Treasures. In order to preserve the castle buildings, it underwent restoration work since June of 2009. Meanwhile, it was off limits with the whole Tenshukaku area covered by scaffolding tarps. It reopened to the public on March 27, 2015. Okayama Castle is also known as its nickname “Crow Castle (烏城, U-jō)”, since it has a black exterior. Kōraku-en is the vast Japanese garden built in the Edo period. It is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, along with Kenroku-en in Kanagawa, Ishikawa Prefecture and Kairaku-en in Mito, Ibaragi Prefecture.
